My story
"We had been doing all the things we were supposed to do."
I am a former history teacher and civil rights attorney. In 2025, my husband Bryton and I were house hunting in DC, always on our grind. On paper, quitting our jobs and leaving looked irresponsible.
We asked what mattered most and made a decision together. In December 2025, we flew to Guatemala with no return date. Six months later, we came home to Miami with a new language, a new job for Bryton, and memories built on joy and freedom.
Now I help other women and couples plan their own version, with real numbers and no guesswork.
